VIMAR SpA [181] – interior restyling
Marostica (VI), Italy
design: 2011 – 2012
built: 2012 – 2013
Designing within the framework of existing structures is always a fascinating and complex challenge. The constraints encountered during such projects often inspire innovative solutions, pushing the boundaries of creativity. This approach also prompts reflection on how buildings should ideally be conceived “in progress,” allowing for flexibility to adapt to changing needs and incorporating new technologies that inevitably shape the evolution of spaces over time.
For the project developed for Vimar, we focused on the functional reorganization of executive and commercial offices as well as meeting rooms. The design aimed to enhance natural and artificial lighting, improve acoustic performance and environmental comfort, and deliver a comprehensive spatial renewal. Additionally, the meeting rooms were equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual communication systems, achieving a significant upgrade of the executive spaces.
A particularly distinctive feature of the project was the integration and placement of artworks in the Board of Directors’ room. Local and international artists were commissioned to create site-specific works, establishing a meaningful connection between industry, architecture, and art. This collaboration elevated the project, creating a space that not only meets functional requirements but also reflects cultural and aesthetic values.
